Jennifer Cobb
Director of Events/Team Fox Representative - Team Gateway To A Cure

I became involved with the Micheal J Fox Foundation years after my Dad, Ty Cobb, had been suffering from Parkinson's Disease.  I started a 5K Run/Walk called Soul To Sole to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's disease. Over the past 2 years I have raised over $50,000 for the Michael J Fox Foundation/Team Fox. My 5K Run/Walk was the only Parkinson's fundraiser in the Illinois Metro East area.

David Jansen
Director of Operations - Team Gateway To A Cure

Shortly after I met Jen she began telling me about her involvement with the Michael J Fox Foundation.  I was moved by her passion for the organization and I was excited to get involved.  The more we talked I was reminded of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer’s and developed a tremor during the last few years of her life.  I am hoping that the money we raise through TGTC will be able to provide relief for those suffering from this disease.

I became involved with the Michael J. Fox Foundation after Team Gateway To A Cure approached me for technical support. Tim Petterson
Honorary Board Member - Team Gateway To A Cure

I am a local IL/MO business man who founded two companies and we have been going strong for 24 years now. For the last year I have been looking for some kind of foundation to join because I’d like to give back to the community for all it has done for me. I’ve known Jen for some time now and have been watching her start this from the beginning. The energy and excitement surrounding Jen and Team Gateway To A Cure’s link with the Michael J. Fox Foundation peaked my curiosity, which led me to research foundations in the area and I knew I’d found the one.

Kelly Ott
Honorary Board Member - Team Gateway To A Cure

I am a Registered Nurse specializing in research and hemodynamic monitoring and passionate about improving the outcome of patients.

I am also an Alumni Rams Cheerleader and have known Jen since 1995.  I learned about the Michael J. Fox Foundation many years ago when Jen started raising awareness and money for Parkinson's with her 5K events. Raising money in order to find a cure for Parkinson's is near and dear to my heart as my grandfather passed away from complications resulting from Parkinson's disease.

Jeff Maher
Board Member - Team Gateway To A Cure

I have known Jen for a number of years and greatly admired her tireless work with the Michael J. Fox Foundation and now with Team Gateway To A Cure. As an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, I have encountered many patients with Parkinson's Disease in my career and seen the multitude of challenges they face along with their caregivers and loved ones. Something as seemingly simple as putting in eyedrops for glaucoma can be no small task, and I often find myself wishing I could do more to help these wonderful people and their families.

When I got the opportunity to join Team Gateway To A Cure, I jumped at the chance. The positivity and creativity of the organization in finding new ways to highlight Parkinson's Disease and raise awareness of ways to help was something I knew I wanted to be a part of. I'm looking forward to seeing where TGTC goes next in the fight against this disease.
